Fellowship at St. Bede Episcopal Church is organized and developed by the Episcopal Church Women (ECW). These dedicated women share their many talents by supporting work in the parish with Fundraisers, Pot Luck Dinners, Boot Sales (Church Sales), Silent Auctions, Auctions, Strawberry Shortcake Sundays, and Progressive Dinners. These fundraisers benefit our church, our community and the world.
The St. Bede Church family enjoys fellowship at Social Hour on our patio every Sunday following our 10 a.m. service. We greet newcomers with refreshments and a warm welcome. Come join us for some cookies and tea, we would love to get to know you.
Every visitor to St. Bede's receives a loaf of bread as our token of friendship for joining us in worship. Bread is an important spiritual symbol in the Church. Jesus said, "I am the bread of life" and in the Old Testament God rained manna from heaven on the Israelites. We welcome you to share our blessings through the giving and receiving of bread.
St. Bede's church pot-luck dinners, held in our parish hall, are warm and friendly, spiced with delicious food and Christian fellowship. At least four times a year, the church holds a themed dinner/fundraiser such as Oktoberfest, a kickoff to our stewardship campaign in October and a Valentine dinner dance in February.
Every Mother's and Father's Day, we gather on our patio following the 10 a.m. service to recognize mothers and fathers with a special gift, from flowers to homemade treats! Every March we celebrate spring with a Strawberry Shortcake fundraiser, with proceeds from the sale of delicious strawberry desserts crafted by parishioners going toward outreach projects.
